PORTABLE BIBLE SCHOOLS

EQUIPPING lay pastors to shepherd local believers

Over a 40-day period that includes 200 hours of practical training, students engage with the fundamentals and challenges of developing biblically based communities. Curriculum has a threefold emphasis: Bible knowledge (including doctrine and a survey of the Bible); ministry skills (including pastoral care and evangelism); and character development (including personal holiness and spiritual maturity).

Portable Bible School Teacher Training Manual

The Portable Bible School Teacher Training Seminar trains teachers to properly lead Portable Bible Schools. In addition to the traditional six-day in-person seminar, prospective teachers can also receive training through a seven-unit online version of the course.

SCHOOLS OF EVANGELISM

PASTORAL TRAINING FOR CHRISTIAN LEADERS

Since 1985 nearly 20,000 men and women have received training in Schools of Evangelism (SOEs). Current enrollments produce roughly 1,000 new evangelists each year.

Each nine-month, residential School of Evangelism prepares students to understand the Bible, evangelize, preach, disciple new believers, plant churches, and train others to do the same.

GREAT COMMISSION CHALLENGE CAMPS

TRAINING YOUTHS TO DISCIPLE YOUTHS

This book is called a "Tentmaker's Manual" because of the model which we find in the life of Paul, in Acts 18:1-4. He traveled to many regions as an evangelist, disciple-maker, and teacher. While he did receive financial gifts and support from some churches, he also supported himself through the trade of tentmaking. The purpose of this manual is to equip modern-day "tentmakers," whose first calling, regardless of their profession, is to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

WOMEN’S IMPACT NETWORK

CREATED FOR WOMEN BY WOMEN

The Women’s Impact Network (WIN) was formed by Evangelism Resources in 2013 to meet the needs of Asian women for mentoring, discipleship, and instruction in God’s Word. During that first training session, participants were challenged to establish—or reestablish—their personal commitment to be Christ’s disciples. Participants in the weekend-long conference were then mobilized and equipped through literature and practical strategies to impact other women with dynamic, biblical spiritual formation.

PRAYING EFFECTIVELY FOR THE LOST

BOOK BY LEE E. THOMAS

I first read Praying Effectively for the Lost in 2006 on a plane to India, where we were hoping to launch a full year of prayer seminars to mobilize the Indian church to pray for the lost. I was convinced that God had put this book into my hands, just days before my departure, because He wanted us to use it in India. I gave it to our partners there, and after reading it they said, “We need this book in our churches.” Soon after, we brought Lee Thomas to India to lead three seminars in Delhi and Rajasthan. Five additional seminars followed. It was the beginning of a great movement to call on all of God’s children to pray. The book has been translated into seventeen languages in India, several other languages in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar, and a number of African languages as well. As the Praying Effectively for the Lost website (www.pelministries.org) states: “The lost are blinded to the Gospel. This book will show you how to effectively remove those blinders so they can see the light.”

If you are interested in removing the strongholds from the minds of the lost so that they might believe in Christ, you will want to read this book.
